The 'wags' or aisled buildings are unique houses found almost exclusively in southern Caithness, and argued to date to the first millennium AD. They are long buildings with stone pillars to support the roofs. Few have been excavated and none in modern times.

had to log in to vpanel and delete everything other than the wordpress zip file.

Deleted the mysql databases.

Then decompress the wordpress file.

Then choose link for website (wp admin was failing to load).

Then option for first time install would present itself,

so selected yes

selected options to install into.

Then problem with plugins not updating automatically.

Had to download them to desktop then go to vpanel and upload and extract them there.

Then back into Wordpress and activate.

Once wordpress importer installer was activated I was then able to import my saved blog!.

Then trying to upload zip of pictures for nextgen.....

CCTV'd

Caught on own CCTV after staging 'robbery'

A SHOP supervisor staged a robbery at his work only to be caught out by the store's own CCTV camera.

John Tait got his friend to beat him up and steal more than £3300 from the safe at Scotmid in Calder Road, Edinburgh, on July 24 last year.

Tait, 21, was found lying on the floor of the shop injured and bleeding and claimed he had been assaulted and robbed.

But when police checked CCTV footage they saw Tait opening the shop on his day off and going in with his co-accused, Christopher McGirr, 20.

The pair, who regularly gamble together, admitted they had made up the plan at the Stanley Berkley Casino, in Rutland Street.

Tait admitted opening the safe and later told police he had also stolen another £3000 from it just days before.

Edinburgh Sheriff Court heard Tait had worked at the store for some time before being promoted to trainee supervisor.

Fiscal depute Carol Urquhart said two cleaners had arrived for work at the shop on July 24 last year to find the window shutters up but the lights off.

"When they entered the premises they found John Tait lying on the floor," she said. "He was bleeding from injuries. His mobile phone was nearby and was broken and the safe within the premises was open."

Tait, of Findlay Avenue, Edinburgh, pleaded guilty to stealing £3000 from the Scotmid safe.

He and McGirr also admitted planning to falsely stage an assault and robbery at the store, and reporting it to police.

Tait admitted opening the safe and stealing £3344 from it, and McGirr, of Lyne Street, Edinburgh, pleaded guilty to repeatedly striking Tait on the head and body.

They will be sentenced next month

The most popular form of this for nearly 300 years was 'broadsides' - the tabloids of their day. Sometimes pinned up on walls in houses and ale-houses, these single sheets carried public notices, news, speeches and songs that could be read (or sung) aloud.

Hearts Sacks Fans !

Heart of Midlothian Football Club today announced that
they have sacked all their fans

The Hearts support, who joined the club in 1874, were
dismissed by owner Vladimir Romanov after a series of
poor results. A statement issued on behalf of Mr
Romanov, who from the end of the season will be known
as Club President, said: "We have been disappointed
with the performance of the fans. Results were not
what they should have been.

"The way in which some events were discussed by the
paying support was disappointing to us. It was been
made clear that the only statement that is appropriate
for the supporters to make is the mindless chanting of
the words: 'I believe'. Genuflection to the club
President is also appropriate."

Mr Romanov, who from the end of next season will be
known as Tsar of All The Russias and Empress of India,
added: "I'd like to thank the Hearts support for all
its hard work. It gave 100%, but ultimately it did not
work out. Vladimir Romanov and the club's management
felt that something had to be done quickly. We owed it
to our own ridiculous delusions."

He then outlined ambitious plans for the club to win
the Champion's League, lift the World Cup and put a
man on Mars by 2007 - probably Stephen Pressley.

In the interim, the support will be replaced by
"caretaker fans" - cloned members of the Romanov
family who have been trained to burl scarves and ask
no questions.

A spokesman for the Hearts Supports Support Group, Mr
A N Gunt-Romanov, said: "I believe."

Disgruntled Hearts fans gathering outside Tynecastle

As optical illusions go, we think this is pretty
impressive. A short explanation goes something like
this. When we look at an object, we can normally see
both fine detail and coarse detail. However when we
are close, the fine detail will dominate, and when we
are further away, we lose the fine detail, and see
more of the coarse detail.

Both of the faces you see above are hybrids - each
face is actually a combination of two faces. The left
hand face shows an angry man in fine detail, but
within the picture there is also coarse detail of the
calm face. Move away, and you lose the fine (angry)
detail, and just see the coarse (calm) detail.

The right hand face shows the calm face in fine

From Pennyslvania Boat and Fish Commision, is this description of the life cycle of a fish parasite. The "Black Spot" parasite has be born in the belly of a bird, get passed to the water, live in a snail, before it progresses to live in a fish. Link.

Incredibly,iIn order to increase the chances of a bird eating a host fish, the parasite actually alter fish behavior, causing it to swim awkwardly and nearer the surface, where a bird will more likely grab it.

The lifecycle of the "black spot" parasite is complex. The adult parasite is found in a fish eating bird, the kingfisher. The larval parasite is transferred from the infected fish to the bird during the feeding process. In the kingfisher, the larval stage develops into an adult parasite. The adult parasite in the intestine of the bird produces eggs that are eventually deposited in the water. There the eggs mature, hatch, and develop into the miracidium stage of the parasite. The miracidium infects a snail. In the snail, the miracidium develops into the cercaria life stage. The cercaria leaves the snail and actively penetrates a host fish. In the fish, the parasite becomes encysted. In about 22 days, black spots form around the cyst. This entire lifecycle takes at least 112 days to complete.
